Seems that you meet issues when insert narrations to your slides. Thanks in advance to anyone who even thinks about a possible solution.

The problem has to be either with the software or the operator.Īny suggestions (I'm not looking for a work around using other programs, I want to be able to use this expensive PowerPoint program for what it is supposed to be able to do)? I'm sure my built in mic and speakers and their settings are fine since they usually recorded fine. I finally gave up and tried the Garage Band route but that was way too time consuming and I lost all videos and animations in the process (I have a separate Ask a Question about that in this forum). If I selected and deleted the icon on a slide, the narration disappeared. I tried clicking off the check mark in Show Media Controls (in the Slide Show tab), but that had no affect on the speaker icon. Another problem was the Speaker Icon always stayed in the middle of each slide during Slide Show or Play from Start. But then I had to hit the speaker icon in the middle of each slide to start the audio for that slide. But on play back sometimes the audio again just stopped part way through. #3) I finally tried Insert>Audio>Record Audio. Everything was fine the first couple of times, but the, suddenly, the narration would not record on some slides. I would move that slide to the end of the presentation, record a new narration for that slide, then move the slide back to it's proper place. I would Play from Start and it seemed ok, except I messed up on a few slides. #2) The next thing I tried was to record the entire thing the same way but non stop, no pausing and re-recording individual slides. The recording present icon would appear in the bottom right corner a few few slides but not ion others. Everything would be fine for a couple of slides, then suddenly on around the 3rd or 4th narration no more narration would play. When done, I'd click End Show, select Play From Start. A was not able to do a sterling job on the entire 18 min presentation straight threw, so often had to pause, backup, and rerecord the slide when I was happy, I'd move onto the next slide. #1) I first used Slide Show tab>Record Slide SHow>Record Slide Show. 16.45 (the latest) an am running Catalina on my Mac. This presentation is already messed up, I'm looking for a better solution for next time. Can any one help, I have wasted many hours trying to record a presentation and ended up doing an inferior job by recording in Garage Band and using editing software to merge the audio file with the ppt end ended up with an inferior and embarrassing presentation.
